This is a picture I took showcasing trees perfectly framing the building and sign of the Zen Hotel.
Category Archives: Composition
In our weekly photo blog, one of the weekly challenges was to take photos that implement compositional techniques in photography.
Using Props
This is a picture I took using a mirror as a prop to show the scenery outside.
Depth of Field
This is a picture of some budding flowers I found showing depth of field.
Viewpoint
This is a picture I took of my shift lead to show her point of view looking through the hair care aisle.
Color Theory
Today I saw a firetruck and realized how the red color of the truck was emphasized by the greenery surrounding it.
Rule of Odds
I took a picture of a building showcasing three different architectural changes to show the rule of odds.
Rule of Thirds Emotion
When I went outside, I found a tree with unlit Christmas lights. This reminded me of the sad vibe the Holiday season had this year due to COVID and having to stay inside.
Fill The Frame
For this photo blog we were tasked with filling the frame with one object. I took a picture of my fence because I really liked the criss cross pattern it had on it.
Facial Symmetry
This is my facial symmetry edit. I used Photoshop to copy my left and right face to both sides. On the left I copied the left side of my face, the middle is my normal face, and the right picture is the right side of my face copied over.
Geometry
For this photo blog, I took a picture of the ramp and stairs leading to Stacks, a pancake restaurant. I really liked the repetitive rectangle shapes on the rails, stairs, and pots.
