This is a picture I took while on a walk on Stanford campus. I saw the sidewalks leading to the church and thought it was a good representation for leading lines.
Category Archives: Composition
In our weekly photo blog, one of the weekly challenges was to take photos that implement compositional techniques in photography.
Lighting
This is a picture of my new fish Ebony. My tank has a blue light in it, but when using a speedlite, it goes away.
Negative Space
This is a picture of the sky I took at Freestyle. I used the negative space of the sky to make the trees and the rope stand out.
Center Frame Portrait
This image is a center portrait of a mini Buddha statue. My family practices Buddhism so we have the statue placed on the mantel.
Balance
This is an image of my sister pushing an empty baby swing. I use the lighting to give it an eerie tone.
Leading Lines
This is a picture of the guitar my family got around a year ago. I use the strings of the guitar to point toward the piano in the background.
Symmetry Landscape
This is a picture I took in Caramel Village near the Icon theater. This picture shows the symmetrical landscape of the umbrella, fountain, and building.
Rules of Thirds-Motion
On Saturday night we had a pool party and roasted marshmallows. This is a picture of Akhand lighting his marshmallow on fire.
