Several months ago I joined a group call with some of my friends, as well as someone they had invited who I did not know. Though we had never met before, we struck up a friendly conversation and found we had a lot in common. Many Months and chats later, I invited him to take a hike with me in person up into the mountains in my hometown. Thinking back to the beginning, I find it interesting how someone can be right next to you, in this case in virtual space over a text application, and you have no idea how much you might have in common until you talk to them. I wonder how many people I know like that now.
Also the mad man brought his guitar with him the whole way for like 5 hours, giving that day an actual soundtrack. Legendary.
