Ruler Of Odds

The rule of odds is a compositional technique that states that the use of an odd number of distinguishable figures within a frame is visually pleasing. On a walk through my neighborhood i took this photo of some poppy flowers against an empty sky. I felt the simplicity of the background contrasted well with the natural randomness of the plants in the foreground.
