The narrative project is probably the biggest project at Freestyle. We had to study screenwriting, what makes character likable and unlikable, and how to write and interesting story with narrative elements. We also had to prepare to carry out all elements of pre-production like creating shot lists, schedules for actors, lists of equipment needed on which days, etc. My PM film class is so dedicated and creative and I feel lucky to have been with them learning about narratives and preparing and carrying out this unit. Alongside Mr. T, Eric, and Kirsten especially, I learned more about film making than I ever have in this unit and I really really enjoyed it.
Acting!
As a person going into acting, this unit was particularly fun for me.
WARNING: My film teacher’s feedback for me was to be louder and to YELL and that if the room across the quad didn’t hear me yelling then I would receive an F on this assignment. Therefore, I suggest you turn down your volume before watching this.

Here are a couple photos of our lined script. A lined script breaks down different areas of action or dialogue and what camera angles/shots we have assigned for those. They are labeled by which scene it is, what letter the shot is (that way we can record which takes of each shots were best) and what kind of shot it is (wide, medium close-up, extreme close-up etc.) and the lines basically guide us on who the camera is actually recording in which take.
