One page flyer:

In Adobe InDesign I learned how to create a flyer for any kind of event. There is a lot to consider when creating a poster like this, often times things people would even consider at first: color/color scheme, proximity,  and more. I think this skill will be useful because often times an organization, big or small, will need to advertise something, and now I know how to creatively execute a flyer!

Tri Fold:

Also done in Adobe InDesign, I learned how to create a Tri Fold brochure, which could be just as useful as my flyer-making skills. I had fun creating this brochure because I put extra care and attention to the principles of design. I especially paid attention to color and shapes.

360 Image

For a couple weeks in my animation class we focused on learning perspective and how to draw it well. I learned about vanishing points, converging lines, shading, and more. In order to prepare for drawing our own 360 images, we had to practice one point, two point, and three point drawing. Then, we went out with a 360 camera and took many photos of our surrounding areas. I decided to use a photo taken in the middle of the MVHS quad, and since our teacher gave us total creative freedom, I decided to draw over the building and turn it into and undersea world. In order to have correct proportions and such, I had to switch from planar to polar view/coordinates. This was a fun project, and here is my final result:

ProTools:

We all had to learn how to use virtual instruments in ProTools. I had already gotten fairly familiar with ProTools as it is where I edited my interviews and recorded my background music for my Documentary project, but through Mr. Florendo’s tutorials, I learned the ins and outs of creating endlessly cool tunes.

Reason:

Reason is the application that looks complicated and scary and is just as much so as it looks. That being said, I particularly enjoyed working in Reason because of its amazing variety of virtual instruments. I was blown away that I created what came to be my final product, and I am excited to work more with Reason.

Video Productions

After I took my AP French test, my teacher assigned us to choose a French song and make a music video with it. My friend, Elena Mujica and I chose the song “Foux Du Fafa” by Flight of the Choncords. I used After Effects to edit the video.
