This school year, Jake expects to solidify himself to his teachers and peers as a capable and talented artist, and to expand the ever-growing fountain of knowledge that is his mind.

Junior year at Freestyle has changed my life. I’ve met and become friends with so many talented, inspiring people, and have had the opportunity to form bonds with them that rival my closest friendships. Everything I’ve learned at Freestyle has been valuable, and something I can take with me for years to come. Being in an environment with such a progressive and intense atmosphere of learning, surrounded by the creativity of so many peers, is magical.

I can say with confidence that I will be coming back for Senior year, as this experience has been the most valuable year of my entire education. I’ll never forget the friendships I made here, and it will be very difficult to forget the skills and lessons I’ve learned here.

I have never been closer to a group of people than at Freestyle. Everyone here is so different from one another in so many ways, but what unites us all is an unbridled enthusiasm for creating things. Freestyle has taught me that you should never be afraid to fail, or make something you won’t always be proud of, because failing is the best thing you can do for yourself if you want to grow as a person. It has also taught me that artistry and passion have the power to bring bring people together in a bond closer than family. I will never forget Freestyle, and hopefully it will never forget me.
