Similar to last year, this year I also created a narrative project, or so called the “Worldbuilding Project.” We created a story again, but this time, more complex and significantly longer than the flash fiction from last year, with characters having complex relationships with different elements of the story. Throughout this project, we analyzed texts and the novel 1984 to learn about the story structure and the type of world characters lived in, before using the texts we read as inspiration to make our own story. Then, I was able to visually communicate my story through building a pitch presentation, movie poster, surreal compositions, and layered art in my media classes.
