For this assignment we were given the goal to make an image, using color theory, which would look like a still from a movie. This photo comes from the make-up room of Hadestown, which is being preformed at our school. This is one of the fates (Part of the ‘Greek chorus’ of the musical.) who is doing her stage makeup, I took this photo and I changed it by making the colors of the photo mesh much more together, I think the colors together create a really sot gentle and thematic theming, as well as looking like a still from a movie where perhaps a character is mentally and physically preparing for performance. I love scenes and stills which are of characters looking into the mirror, I think this photo really resembles photos of 1950s~ actors doing their makeup before preforming a scene for a movie, think a Marylin Monroe, or otherwise.
Overall I really love his photo, its colors, and think that this is a great example of color theory.
