For this photo, I knew I wanted to make something that covered my face so that I could still be in the shot. On the board, I’ve hung up some of my art, and other objects that have some personal meaning to me.

The background lacks colour and interest, apart from the curtains. It was meant to contrast the figure, and the details on the board, to draw the viewer’s eye towards it. I wanted to put minimal text on top of it, something that fit the ‘coming of age’ vibe, so I chose a thin, white, typewriter font.
