This is a close up of my brother. I like how he is squinting into the sun, it makes the color contrast very dramatic.

This is the largest figure in my life (my dad), holding a tiny dog, who is biting a microscopic little squirrel toy. I took this photo from a low angle such as to emphasize how he looms over.
40-Color-Theory
This is a photo of my lil’ brother in his iconic bright red outfit. The red stands out next to the muted background making an almost monochrome color scheme.

This is a photo of my brother dancing at night. Since it was night, I had my shutter speed set to be long, and since he was dancing, he ended up with a nice motion blur.
38-The-Elements
I noticed on a hike that someone had put a little heart lock on top of this sign. I thought that was a poetic gesture, showing love towards nature, so I snapped a picture. If you’re wondering what element this is, I though this is spirit. Human spirit showing its appreciation of the other elements.

This is a photo I took of my mom and brother after a hike. It may be a bit hard to tell, but I was downhill taking this picture and looking up at them. I think the low angle, combined with the harsh contrast and my mom’s hands on the hip pose gives a powerful feeling.

I took this photo of some palms in Los Angeles. They make a nice silhouette against the sky. I think they tell a story of a journey, through an unfamiliar place.
35-Grattitude
I am grateful for my mom and brother! Of course my dad too, but he didn’t make it into this nice picture. I really like the warm glow behind them.
34-Rule-of-Thirds-Emotion
This is a pug, her name is Penny. Her eye is placed in the upper left focal point, so it follows the rule of thirds. Pugs always make me feel emotions like anxiety and sadness, I think this picture does a particularly good job showcasing the soulfullness of a pugs eye.
