For this assignment, I decided to go back to my roots and shoot a still life. For my still lifes, I’ve always been very drawn to shiny, bright, pretty things, so I thought portraying the sin of pride was a good goal. I collected and arranged some random items from around the house I thought were pretty (and somewhat flashy) and shot them against a black velvet background with some red velvet draped at the side.
