I was initially somewhat nervous about this photo, since to show who I was with a single picture seemed difficult. Eventually I decided I wanted to make it somewhat unclear what I was doing—in this case, either reading a book, drawing, or writing—to help communicate the idea without being too specific. Originally, I had my mom shoot the photos for me, but I then decided to use the self-timer instead.
