Zenith

The senior Zenith project is our final Freestyle project in electives, where we get the freedom to choose what we do, as long as it relates somehow to your elective. As design students, we had full freedom because design is everything.

For my project, I decided to do wire wrap jewelry. I have always had such a love for jewelry and I’ve always wanted to make it myself but never have! I also really love swirls, I am constantly drawing them and I love when they are incorporated into jewelry as well, so this was my design inspiration.

This project was a challenge for me because I have never made jewelry before, and I’ve never really worked with wire before so that was new also.

This project really helped me with being tactile with my hands and working physically, which was really fun since most of our projects at Freestyle are digital, and the art I make on my own time is also mostly digital. I loved getting to work with my hands and have a physical finished output, which is so much more rewarding.
