Frame Within A Frame

I chose this image for “frame within a frame” because I used the curtains to “frame” the palm trees I saw outside! This was a technique to put emphasis on the palm trees and the clouds in the sky. I think this is a cool composition technique to utilize when wanting to put emphasis on …

Viewpoints

I chose this image to show what it is like to view something from someone else’s perspective. This image was taken on a plane going across the country. I think it is a good image to choose for this because it is viewing Earth in a new light; there are thousands of people below the …

Geometry

I decided to choose this picture for geometry, because of how symmetrical this plant is. Each layer of the plant shows symmetry.

Angles

This shows interesting angles because it appears like I took this picture from a drone. In reality, though I took it from the window in my hotel room. It provides a more birds-eye angle of the Las Vegas Strip.

Rule of Odds

This demonstrates the “rule of odds,” because it shows three notebooks lined up next to each other. This puts the focus on the three things (particularly the center object) and makes it more visually appealing to the audience.

Negative Space

This image shows negative space; there is a focus on the “no stopping sign” and a lot of negative space in the hills and the sky (sunset) shown in the background. The negative space in this image helps emphasize the sign, while still providing a pretty scenery behind it.

Center Frame Portrait

This center frame portrait focuses on the flowers, which take up the center of the image. This helps the flowers be the main focus!

Leading Lines

I thought this was an interesting choice for this prompt because this painting has a lot of lines that lead you to the center.

Symmetry Landscape

I thought that the plant in my house showed symmetry because the leaves perfectly reflected each other. I thought it was interesting to see how plants and other things in landscape show symmetry and reflections.
