Below is a showcase of my best works at Freestyle!
Documentary
To start, my favorite project I did at Freestyle was my documentary film “Happy Hearts.” It includes five interviews from some of the elderly community members in my area, where we interviewed them about how they find happiness. I had so much fun interviewing such diverse people, and I particularly really enjoyed interviewing 104-year-old Elzene Yancey. Their advice and stories were inspirational, and it helped me gain positive and unique insights on life.
Our documentary won the following awards (we also received an honorable mention at the Vienna International Film Awards):

Narrative 1
My second favorite project at Freestyle was my narrative I made junior year. This was my first significant film, and I was proud of what we were able to accomplish! My partner and I learned all about Griffith’s pattern, editing, various film techniques, and how to use Premiere Pro. Our film is about a girl who needs to learn how to stay true to herself; when she doesn’t, she becomes cursed by a prize from a local arcade.
Our junior year narrative won the following award (we also received an honorable mention at the Vienna International Film Awards):

Reflections
One of my other absolute favorite projects I made at Freestyle my senior year was the Reflections project. My whole life, I have loved making wishes; anywhere I go and whenever I get the chance, I make a wish. I decided to create a 2-minute film to describe why I do this. I am very proud of this piece, and I really felt my skills improving after watching the outcome of this film.
These are my top three most impressive and favorite film projects I created at Freestyle. I am so grateful to have had the resources and opportunities to create these films, and I am proud of my work!
