Narrative Visual Perspective in Design
Street Photography
We used our telephoto lens to take photos of people. The telephoto lens allows taking photos far way, while still being able to zoom in. I took my photos downtown mountain view.
I Iearned how to take photos in public. It’s hard not getting noticed and capture natural moments in time.
Citizen Diptych
We used our street photography skills in order to create a diptych. We had to take a photo of someone that related to our Lyrical Essay. I enjoy this photo, because of the movement captured by the man on the bike.
I valued learning how to hand tint a photo. The photos in black and white except for the man riding the bike, where you notice a very subtle color.
Product Label
The product label we based on a fake product. We designed a logo and label that could be placed on a real product. We considered price ranges, and who are label is appealing too.
I valued learning the other things that are considered in the making of a logo other than design principles. Learning how your target audience can impact design was interesting.
Product Triptych
The next part of our project was to create mockups. We created Mockups on clothing, products, and other items. I chose a wine bottle, a bag, and t-shirts.
I valued learning how to edit designs in Photoshop. I learned how to make mockups and mas it seem as if a design is on an object.
Movie Poster
In English, we studied an artist of our choice. We used that artist to inspire our movie poster work. My poster was called SOS and is about a crash landing on an alien planet.
This project helped me learn more about photo bashing. This technique is very effective in giving the illusion of detail.
Magazine Advertisement
This project was an ad for our product label. I designed a wine ad. I wanted the ad to be expensive and luxurious looking.
I learned how to make and use custom brushes in Photoshop. I used water brushes in order to make the octopus. This effect is actually much easier to make than it looks.
