For this Photo blog prompt, we were assigned with studying color theory and integrating it into our photo in order to create a cinematic look. For this photo, I decided to go for the look of a teen coming of age movie, with a girl getting ready for school in the mirror. The light in the back also adds a cinematic element. For the color palette I focused on using, I chose yellow and purple, which are complementary colors. In order to add yellow, I selected the highlights with a color range tool and created a mask. The I changed the color channel within that selection and changed it to yellow. I did the same for the darks and purple. I am satisfied with how this photo turned out and I hope to use this technique more in the future.
