Shadow

f/6 Exposure 1/165 ISO 100 50mm

This photo was not originally meant to be this dark. When I took this photo I thought it was a failure and proceeded to adjust the camera settings and take a brighter photo. However, upon arriving home and uploading the photos to my computers, I found that this dark, moody photo was much more interesting than the properly exposed ones. The photo makes it look as though it took place in the night, when in reality it was around mid afternoon. The sunlight is reminiscent of moonlight. By amplifying the shadows of the photo, the subject is partly obscured. It feels as though the darkness is creeping out from its hiding place and consuming everything.
