Streets, roads, highways, and cars are modern conveniences that we often take for granted. Transportation has never been as convenient as it is today. From driving to school everyday to traveling abroad, getting from one place to another becomes simpler, and it’s easy to forget that transportation hasn’t always been this easy.
To me, this photo represents the sin of envy. I am envious of these sunflowers. I wish I could be as peaceful and worriless as a flower.
I took this photo of my brother to try to emulate the style of film noir. I used lighting, shadows, and color grading to create the feeling of mystery and tragedy/cynicism that is often associated with film noir.
As it gets dark in the winter, I begin to see shadows everywhere. Even when it is bright, there is always shadow. I like these sillouettes I took because of the left vs right contrast. The left side is rounded, kind, soft, pleasant. the leaves are big, full of life. The right side, on…

This photo was not originally meant to be this dark. When I took this photo I thought it was a failure and proceeded to adjust the camera settings and take a brighter photo. However, upon arriving home and uploading the photos to my computers, I found that this dark, moody photo was much more…
This photo represents a new beginning that comes every year: Spring. As the bare branches and yellow grass begin to fade, green emerges again, and flowers start to bloom. I took this photo while hiking at Rancho San Antonio, and I was surprised to see how green and colorful the trails were after many…
