This photo represents a new beginning that comes every year: Spring. As the bare branches and yellow grass begin to fade, green emerges again, and flowers start to bloom. I took this photo while hiking at Rancho San Antonio, and I was surprised to see how green and colorful the trails were after many months of dead yellow. A new beginning is often viewed as a fresh start, a chance to reinvent oneself. Seeing evidence of the cycle of the Earth, how plants die in the winter but are reborn even more beautiful in the spring, gives me hope that I, too, can fall and continue to start again.
