This showcase goes more in-depth about one of my favorite projects, as well as featuring a reel with many projects not in the portfolio. I made it near the end of the year so that I could get feedback from an industry professional. The full portfolio is here.
Welcome to my page! I’m Noam Avrahami, a former first year design student at Freestyle Academy. In addition to Design, I took Digital Media and English here as well. Design has taught me so many new perspectives about things around me, and Freestyle has just generally been an amazing opportunity to academically explore subjects that I usually would not. I plan to bring design-oriented thinking with me to college, even as I shift back to a subject that is more normal for me, being computer science.
Something cool about Freestyle is that because it’s project-based, the projects can get fairly expansive. I’ve chosen to showcase the ‘product design’ project, which is about branding and advertisement. There is also a reel featuring what I believe are the best products I’ve produced this past year.

Showcase: Product Design
This video showcases my brand creation project, where I created a logo, label, mockup, merchandise, and advertisement for an imaginary product. I made it using After Effects.

This shorter video shows off my best stuff! I wanted to feature a breadth of technology and versatility of where my skill can be applied. The video was also made with After Effects.
Reflection
Every project I chose made me have to think about space and how I’m using it. I think I got better over time. With the product design project (and the world building project of which you saw a glimpse in the reel), I really appreciated getting to think about the same thing for so long but constantly developed in different and new ways. It let me take silly premises and try to focus myself as professionally as possible.
I am extremely grateful for the Freestyle experience. I got to use so many cool things for periods of time where I actually gained competence and efficiency. It’s astounding to me that I was able to get in the zone in the classroom because previously there wouldn’t really be time, but the school is really just made to try and get the best out of its students and that’s just awesome.
