This is a family photo that was taken two years ago in Yosemite during Christmas. Over the years we've taken many family vacations to places numerous National Parks and states all across America. I'm posting this photo so that you may learn a little bit more about where I come from.

My family consists of my mom, dad, sister, rabbit, and myself. My mom, Judy loves yoga and gardening, and it's scary somtimes how alike we are. We share her best and worst qualities, amongst them are a love for cooking and politics, stubborness and a tendancy to jump to conclusions. Ever since I can remember I've had a protien, carb, and vegetable in my lunch box, and although the act is quite elementary, I like the odd sense of comfort it provides.

My dad's story is one of the more interesting ones. His great grandfather, a viking from Iceland, sailed to America and ended up starting a family with Soux Native American woman. Together, they worked to raise my grandmother who married a full Japanese man. And that's where my father comes in, the sixth of eight children and born to a modest family, my dad now works at VMWare, a computer softwear company.

My sister is a sophomore at UC Berekely studying society and the environment. In most aspects, we're polar opposites, yet we still find common ground on almost anything. Really smart and a hard worker, she's always willing to taste anything I produce in the kitchen, good and bad.
