This week we were asked, “What does serenity mean to you?” To me, serenity is when I can be separated from the cares of the world for a little while, such as in nature or another safe space. When we visited the Oakland Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I felt that this little stream with the temple in the background was a safe and serene place. I centered the focal point to create more balance in my composition. I had my friend pose in a peaceful way next to the stream as my subject, to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
