While waiting to go to the beach, I took this picture of my friend Lucy. With the sunlight in the background it gave the picture a warm glow to it. To help enhance this tone and color, I used the color balance tool to make the photo even warmer using tints of yellow and red. By adding the tint, I create a happy and warm tone to the photo.

The rule of odds is a beautiful thing. Although the rule of symmetry brings a feeling of balance, an odd number of subjects, or asymmetry gives a fun and joyfull spin to a photo. I wanted to take a picture of 3 beautiful fake flowers with a colorful background. I wanted the viewer to get a joyfull and calm feeling while looking at the photo.

When I think of aging, I think of candles. I feel like candles are the best representation of aging. The more candles get used, the smaller they get. When editing this photo, I used the color balance adjustment to give the photo a warm and happy feel. This represents that aging is a beautiful thing.

I found this beautiful painting in a thrift shop near my house. I fell in love with the mystery and the anonymous feeling of the painting. I also love the painting style and the background of the painting.

For this photo, I stopped to look at the sunset and realized that the sunset was framed by the car window. This portrait of the sunset is perfectly framed by the inside of the car door.

In my free time, I like to drive around and find new places. I was able to find this beautiful pasture in the hills where horses are able to freely roam. I was inspired by this a took a picture of a white horse grazing by themselves. This picture represents new beginnings because I have reached a new chapter in my life with getting my license and I am able to have more freedoms.

When looking for a Christmas tree this year, I found this elf hat in the middle of the hills. I wanted to use this photo as my photo for trash because even though it might have been seen as a joyous object in years before, now it is abandoned and seemingly trash.

This photo’s theme was a challenge to me. I had to push myself to find something that was accidentally renaissance. When my friend and I were hanging out with her dogs, and it reminded me a bit of a renaissance painting. I made it a bit off centered to emphasis the feeling of tension and drama.
