I was inspired by the flowers that grow in my backyard because my dad and mom cherish them, so I wanted to capture their beauty. While taking the picture, I wanted to see how close I could get to the flowers and what angles I could use. I also played around with the focus and lighting around the buds. I loved the roses, and the colors they gave off were so bright, so I wanted to see how I could make them look more vibrant on Carma.

I moved it to my dad’s hibiscus because they never bloom all at the same time, so I had one flower to work with. I didn’t like the background, so I tried to make the shot closer and played with the focus point around the flower, and ended up doing a birds-eye shot, and I really loved how it turned out.
We have some bright purple flowers along our fence, and I loved how you could see into it like a tunnel, so I tried to get a close-up of the inside, but I couldn’t get a clear enough photo out of it.
