For our Narrative Perspectives unit, we were challenged with the question,

“Can you create an imaginary world with real-world implications?”

The Worldbuilding project this year was the fourth year at Freestyle! We developed more advanced storytelling techniques and ideas that were applied in both our Digital Media and English classes, and eventually culminated in a Pitch Presentation and video at the end. In English, we did our own research project in which we consulted scientific journals to develop facts for our own stories/universes that connected to a real-world issue. In Digital Media, we created 3D Stayed Wood Art pieces that visually expressed our worlds, using Adobe Illustrator and then cutting them with a laser printer. In Design, we created a Movie Poster of our Worldbuilding stories to create a more detailed advertisement that we could then use to present to executives or use as a marketing technique if we choose to pursue this idea in the future.
