Dad

This is my Dad on our trip to Europe this summer. He has about five guitars but I steal some of them sometimes. He laughs while clapping his hands, which can disturb movie watching. He likes to go skiing in the winter with my brother. His mustache reminds many people of a cop’s. He used to have a motorcycle, but my mother disapproved, so now he has a convertible instead. He loves his cars and has many magazines about them.

There was only one picture of Mom available, yet it says so much. She has one of our cats that she loves very much on her lap. She loves to garden, and keeps our backyard filled with greenery and pretty flowers. If she could, she would wear long hippie dresses year-round. Raised in New Mexico, her home is the desert. She goes on several road trips each year out to Albuquerque to visit the family and the state. I usually go with her during summer vacation and winter break. She is a great cook, but has not taught me anything (so far).

The boy pictured here with eyes half closed and hair in desperate need of a trim is Ean Pollock. He is my younger brother who loves nothing more than sitting on a computer all day playing Combat Arms. He prefers to keep his hair long even though it looks much better short. At one point, his hair was longer than mine. We have way too many inside jokes. One day we’re practically best friends and the next we hate each other. I guess that is the way it works with siblings. He would never admit it, but he looks up to me. We play video games like Fallout 3 together while making strange noises. I have tried to help him with his fashion sense many times, but he refuses help. Some day...
