A site of French splendor.

“Use symmetry in a landscape to create a new viewpoint for this week’s image.”
This is another one of the beautiful photos I took while in Europe over the summer, this time with my mom’s old Nikon D60 camera. This particular picture was taken in the garden of Louis XIV’s summer palace at Versailles.

One of my favorite parts of this shot is the arches right at the center of the frame. They almost feel like a window– a gate to what lies beyond the garden. The wispy blue skies also poke through, adding a feeling of brightness and adventure. Overall, a simple image, but a very beautiful one.
