“Why is 3 and 5 so useful?”

Recently, I helped my mom set up for a HUGE bar mitzvah. She’s a party planner– and along with helping her set her parties up, I also help do some of the pre-party photography. This one in particular was a sports-themed party for a boy named Arlo who wanted to provide some Arlo-branded merchandise to his (over 200!) guests.This was the display (along with another entire table) we set up for his merchandise.

While it’s mostly a coincidence that all of the plaid merch ended up in the middle column of the shelf layout, I think it’s cool that, because of the rule of odds, you can draw a clear “middle” in the scene.
