“What does serenity mean to you?“
Well, it’s easy to show a nature scene and connect it to the feeling of serenity. Many people tend to attribute said feeling to an image like the one above, which is absolutely fair. There is definitely a calming feeling attached to nature.
This is a “macro shot” I took with my camera at the same Chinese tea garden in Portland that I’ve used photos from in past photo blogs. And yes, the tiny trees you see here are alive. I’ve never really understood how bonsai works, but it’s super interesting to think about how we have managed to grow ENTIRE TREES that are smaller than our own hands (those are adult trees!). Crazy stuff.
