For this image, I decided to photograph my hand. I thought that it would be really straightforward to show an emotional face on the third. Instead, I wanted to focus on the smaller details that can occur in conjunction with an emotion. The emotion I wanted to present was anxiety. Often with anxiety, from my own experience, nail biting is a coping mechanism that often results. In this image, I photographed my fingernails outlining the shortness and the redness around them. I focused the camera specifically on my pointer finger’s nail and put it directly on the third.
