For this assignment, we had an open prompt- To shoot anything as long as it’s deemed “pure.” Meaning that there is no editing or off-camera corrections. I choose to submit outtakes from a SLAM magazine shoot.
The inspiration for these was to get images that the photo team could post on Instagram as promotional images. Being a part of the club, I thought doing portraiture in the magazine’s colorway (pink and blue) would tie together the magazine and what leadership’s goals were.
The models for this shoot were fellow Freestyle students Avani (Junior) and Hanna Olson (Junior).
