< It’s easy to tell the story of someone you know – tell the story of someone you don’t >

For this assignment I found it difficult to tell the story of a stranger, logistically I wasn’t confident in taking photos of people I don’t know or have the ability to work with, without getting to know them or taking the time to properly photograph them.

I took this photo from the observation deck of Rockefeller Center in Manhattan. Being a picture of the skyline of Manhatten and the further boroughs of Brooklyn and Staten Island as well as Jersey City and Jamaica, the picture shows the ways that millions of people throughout the city spend their days, in highrise buildings, walking through streets and riding the subway- evident in the steam rising in the lower parts of the image.
