Tell a Lie

< Cameras are used to tell the objective truth, use one to tell a lie>

For this assignment, I thought about the concept of lying through photography and how you can only see the truth like shining a flashlight in a dark room. I took this photo in the Spring Str. station along the A line in New York. Although the image gives the impression of crumbling infrastructure and alludes to a sketchy area, up the exit staircase is the SoHo neighborhood, one of the nicest neighborhoods in the city. Like how it’s important to read the bigger picture and find broader perspectives, the same can be said in photography, there’s a story behind every photo.
