<Highlight your culture through photography>
For this week’s photo blog, I wanted to highlight my culture and family history in a way that shows how I am involved in it.
I choose to photograph a section of my bedroom wall, this part of the wall has art and heirloom objects that are significant representations of my family and culture.
- Central Collage
- A piece I made in AP Studio that has pictures and objects from my Nonnie’s (Grandmother’s) life. Her report card, early portrait, wedding slides, and territory are included.
- Cow Bell
- This wooden bell was from my ancestor’s home in Northern Italy.
- Record
- This record is a French jazz record that represents the part of me that is French.
- B&W Photograph
- Part of my family immigrated through Ellis Island in the 1920s and this photo was taken of an ironworker above New York circa 1920.
