This portfolio contains my best work from my time as a film student at Freestyle Academy. Two of my videos are music videos with myself playing classical guitar. The other is my Senior Narrative, which I created with Lucie Reynaud. The first video is Vals no. 4 by Agustin Barrios Mangore.
I had a lot of fun filming and recording my Zenith project, which was both of my guitar music videos. The next video is my Senior Narrative, Waking Up To Murder. This short film follows a girl who wakes up to become the suspect in a murder and her quest to find out what really happened.
My Senior Narrative was also really fun to make, although it was a lot different than my music videos. The entire project was a collaboration with my partner Lucie, and we also had to work well with our actors and with other film students who helped us out. It was my first time working on a narrative film and with other people, but the project turned out well, and Lucie and I were proud of what we accomplished. This last video is my other music video from my Zenith project. I performed Danza Brasileira by Jorge Morel.
It was a lot of fun to be in Freestyle Academy for my senior year of high school. My only regret is that I didn’t join Freestyle sooner. Freestyle allowed me to learn how to manage projects, to learn technological skills, and to learn how to work well with others. The videos I have selected for my portfolio show how much I was able to learn this past year and how I have gained confidence in my skills.
