To show a film noir I decided to photograph window blinds. The stripes of dark and light show a lot of contrast which is usually present in film noir. They also make dramatic striped shadows which make it even more moody and suspenseful. I could definitely see this in a detective’s office in a classic film noir movie.
In Photoshop, I made it black and white and edited the colors so the contrast would come out as much as possible.
