About Me

Welcome to my website!! My name is Anjali Kamran, and I was a Design student at Freestyle Academy from 2020-2022 and my home school was Mountain View High School.

I am passionate about design and photography as I aspire to become a fashion designer or entrepreneur when I graduate. Ever since I was little, I’ve always dreamed of going to London or New York to become a fashion designer. Throughout my high school experience I have attended many classes to learn more about what I want to do in that field. I hope that someday I’ll have my own little boutique to run.

I was also Section leader for the MVHS Color Guard. We are a group of dancers that express the music played by the marching band through spinning our colorful flags, tossing our wooden rifles, and performing tricks with our plastic sabers. Through these expressions we communicate the story to the audience. The marching band community was so welcoming and I made many life-long friends. The long hours may be discouraging to some, but in the end, to be able to see your show and what you’ve accomplished makes it all worth it.

Being a student at Freestyle, I valued the resources and opportunities that we were given. The time and dedication that teachers put into helping us, and the resources that they provided for us allowed us to succeed and helped us grow as artists. I am grateful to be a part of this program and all they did to help me get accepted to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising.

At the beginning of the Freestyle I remember being very afraid to try new things and often found myself stuck in my comfort zone. As the year progressed I found myself exploring new ideas and found a whole new world outside my comfort zone. My time at Freestyle was very different and difficult for a lot of reasons however, I am so grateful for the opportunity to be apart of the Freestyle community. I am really proud of the work that I have created during all our units and I am excited to see what the future holds for me.

Your dream doesn’t have an expiration date.

Take a deep breath and try again.
