Everything in the natural world ages. In biology, we learned that plants grow, they live, die, and decompose, providing essential nutrients for future plants. This withered rose may seem old and unassuming, but it will eventually fall and help give rise to a new life. I intentionally kept the healthy rose in the frame at the back to illustrate the continuity of life. What once was, will become again.
