One of the most common shapes one can find in nature is a spiral. This photograph is of a shell from my collection. The soft light hitting the shell and the bark reminded me of a birds nest with a delicate egg in the middle. I love the circular and spiral design of the shell which connects to themes of growth and evolution – starting from a center and continuing on.
