About Me

Hi, I’m August! I was a student at Freestyle Academy. I’ve always enjoyed garment construction, curating music, and dressing up. While making this website, I played synthesizer in marching band and arranged music. I was so happy to have this opportunity at Freestyle because it helped me better understand the role of art in my life. Freestyle has helped me to understand art and how to give it meaning.

Over the course of my time at Freestyle, my resolve and aspirations grew a lot. I gained confidence with the work ethic and digital art skills I developed, thriving even more in my senior year. I found growth to be more important than perfection. I also learned to take myself less seriously.

Design has become a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As I continue with my career, I’m so excited for the coming years, and I’m ready to handle anything.
