This self-portrait is one of my personal favorites. Using the backdrops in an old-school theatre, I had a setup done and put my camera on a tri pod.

A modern convenience I could not live without is public transportation. Nothing beats spending $5 to go across state, or in this case, country lines. This photo was taken on a train ride from Vienna to Florence.

I despise pickles with my whole heart. Anger and rage fill my body as fast food workers put the dreaded vegetable on my burger and infects my food.

This photo, overlayed with a poem of mine, is painted in black and white to fit the film noir assignment. Film noir is typically dark and moody, so I wanted to put a twist on the assignment by making it about vibrancy.

For this assignment, I teamed up with Mahaut to create slow shutter speed photos in a dark room. Utilizing glow sticks, we were able to light the area surrounding the subject. Mahaut moved her face on command, leaving two expressions on the screen; relaxation and anger.

My favorite tree in the world is located right in font of my house. As the seasons change, so does this tree. It hurts me to see the leaves fall but at least I get to experience the frosted magenta tips first.

Miami is notorious for it’s vibrant street art. This photo I captured embodies the colorful walls you see, but the colors themselves left up to imagination.

This is my little sister, Maya. Maya is strong and independent. She is motivated and kind. She sees the good in people and knows how to be happy for what she has. I love her and look up to her more than she knows.

My parents divorced when I was 14 and the change was hard. One thing my parents do unknowingly, however, is they each make pancakes for breakfast once a week.

Strangers are a difficult story to tell because we don’t really know what is going on inside their heads now do we? The narrative that I come up with may not be what is truly taking place. However, I think these two people are both craving affection and acceptance.
