Rule of Thirds Emotion
This week we were challenged to take a photo using the rule of thirds to capture an emotion.
This week we were challenged to take a photo using the rule of thirds to capture an emotion.
This week we were challenged to take a picture with color but do it in black and white. I took a picture of some old oil painting tubes i had.
We were challenged this week to take a photo that shows everyone about someone who inspires us. I have a picture of a shirt from my favorite show, whose two creators inspire me to improve in my artistic journey
We were challenged this week to take a photo that fills the frame with one color. I took a picture of my favorite yellow blanket.
We were challenged this week to take a photo that tells the story of our culture. Because my mother is Asian, we have two different rules that I assumed that everyone did when I was younger. The first one is the more well known Asian thing: no shoes in the house! I used to get confused when I went to friends houses & they would walk all over the carpet in their shoes. The second practice is our “communal sandals”. People can just leave their flip flops outside & anyone who needs them can just use them whenever. I think it’s funny how my white uncle gets upset when my grandpa keeps taking his flip flops from outside.
We were challenged this week to take a picture that tells the story of someone you know well. I stumbled on this picture from one of our photo albums. I had just received these new markers for my birthday, and I had the great idea that give my younger sister a makeover. I drew a bunch of hearts and circles over her face. Once we were satisfied with the look, I confidently said “Caitlin, you should run upstairs and show mom!” As she went to look for Mom, I began to put away the markers. Then it hit me. I was going to get in big trouble for this. I ran after her, but I was too late. Mom was understandably mad and was yelling at both of us as she went to wash off the ink. At this point, my mom had made the unfortunate discovery that I my brand new pens were permanent markers. She scrubbed more and more with little to no progress, when she just started laughing. Mom took a step back to look at Caitlin and realized how ridiculous she looked.
We were challenged this week to take a photo showing our habits. I have this bad habit of forgetting to take my pills in the morning so I need to use a pill organizer like an old person. The only problem comes up when I forget where I put my pill organizer
We were challenged this week to take a self portrait & then flip one side of it using Photoshop to compare the symmetry in our face.
