Weapon Design

Weapon Design

In my Animation class, we were learning how to sculpt entire objects digitally using the software Autodesk Maya. For my weapon, I designed my own concept sketches for an original weapon. I made an oversized sword for a fantasy character to take into battle.

This is the drawing I made to use as a model for my sculpting. My favorite part of it are the two little holes on the left side of the blade. There was no tool in Maya that let us do this, so I figured out how to do it manually. I am especially proud of how that part came out.
