Introduction
In English, we were challenged to think outside of the box and make a piece of humor using the comedic technics that we learned about in class. We were told to study two humorists who we found funny to use as inspiration for our projects and write a proposal of what we wanted to do for our project. For this assignment, I was partnered with my friend, Belle Williams.
Proposal
In this project, we decided to photoshop images to accompany a series of stupid things one of our friends has said inspired by the style of different kinds of bad Facebook posts. The pictures we are making will be using parody by replacing the cheesy or unfunny quotes with intentionally pointless or stupid quotes. We will be relying on exaggeration for this project since we will be remaking these types of pictures with amplified low quality in every component of the image, some of which include the bad resolution quality, unappealing fonts, and clashing color combinations. The images are then going to be presented as a poorly edited slideshow and a voice over that reads the quotes in a soothing voice.
