Photo Blog: Black and White

It shows a messy windowsill with cards, chapstick, a wallet, a bracelet, and other objects. There is no color in the image.
This week, we were told to take a shot in black and white. I took a picture of this messy windowsill, which I had hoped would bring a lot of eclectic oddities together with the lack of coloring. I also wanted to use this shot for that many different shades of grey that come out when it is desaturated.

Photo Blog: Weight/Mass

Image shows a dandelion with all of the seeds attached, the seeds are thin and fluffy, almost like cotton.
This week we were shooting to show weight or mass. I chose to shoot a dandelion, as the seeds are often a defining image of something being “lightweight.”
