Brace yourself…

“My name is Ernest Chau, and I am a student of too many disciplines and interests. I am a musician, student, occasional tutor, among many different things- currently, for better or for worse, I’ve been getting very into specialty coffee and the culture of roasters, producers, and baristas. I am currently attending two schools, Mountain View High School as well as Freestyle Academy. I’m very excited to explore all sorts of new things and skills at Freestyle specifically, as everything thus far has been an eccentric, interesting space full of too much to do- a space that I really enjoy. Other than this though, I am primarily an oboe player and am very excited to use the resources here to help boost that side of my life.

‘What do you value about being a student at Freestyle?’

The simple answer is the opportunity. Being in such a well funded place, not only financially but also creatively, allows all of us to share and use our own ideas and put them into meaningful production. My only worry is that the sheer amount of opportunity will boost my ambition out of proportion- but that might be a good problem to have.”
