This week’s theme is storms. This is a photo I took a while ago when it was hailing in my backyard which is a rare occurrence in California. Presumably, hail would be even rarer in the dessert but my boy scout troop has a certain knack for attracting hail. Troop 80 has a well-known tale of hail in the desert of Joshua Tree national park which involves shirtless pushups in a hail storm.
