We were supposed to take inspiration from current events this week. I probably interpreted that theme differently than intended. I chose to interpret current events as the small stories unfolding all around me in daily life. I recently looked out the window and saw a squirrel perched on a telephone wire in a specific way, so I rushed to grab my camera. By the time I got back the squirrel had scuttled over to the telephone pole. I only got the chance to take one photo before the squirrel disappeared. That series of events felt very current and temporary to me. It is very likely that I will never see that squirrel again. I will never be in that situation again.
